Life-long learning is a necessity to survive in a rapidly-changing society. We, at the Open Cyber University, never stop research and efforts to foster professionals who can not only keep up with changes but also lead changes.

Open Cyber University strives for open education. We provide the most effective means for students to acquire necessary knowledge and expertise. We offer the best cyber education environment where anyone can learn knowledge anytime and anywhere and topple down the knowledge barrier by sharing distinguished lectures through consortiums.

Open Cyber University strives to deliver the most advanced knowledge. We provide the faculty with supports for research and studies, and the updated curricula and working knowledge based on the industry-university cooperation. In addition to online learning, we open On-the-Job course and internship at corporations. We also invite experts and specialists from the real world to give our students hands-on lectures.

Open Cyber University endeavors to come close to students. As lectures are not given face to face, we have the means in place to narrow the geographical and psychological gap between professors and students through communities and communication channels. We also introduced the mentor and mentee system under which the mentors, who are mostly seniors, guide and advise their mentees who are mostly juniors in many ways, mainly about school life and academic achievements. We also have had events and programs where their families can join along with students, so as to become a family-like school for students. We will explore more ways to continue our efforts.

Open Cyber University is the first of its kind in Korea. While we have beaten the path, we have learned a lot, which became the foundation of distance learning universities in Korea.
